Machine Units

Onder Machinery you can find multiple tabs:

Under Machine Park, you will find three tabs:

  1. Machinery : This contains all the information about the types of equipment available. For each type, you can also add individual units. For example, you can specify that you have three different physical units of the machine JLG 860 SJ.

  2. All units : here you get an overview of the aforementioned units

  3. Transport: Here, you manage transport classes with corresponding zones.

Adding units

When you add a machine, you will have the option to add individual units as the last step. You will also see a block labeled "Individual Units" when you modify a machine.

By choosing the option "Unique Units," you can add your units one by one.

In the Unique Identification field, you enter your internal machine identification. In principle, this should be unique. This can be an internal number or a serial number.

If you decide to  integrate with a certification body or track-and-trace partnerrr, you can save a lot of manual work. After linking, the Bullswap system will attempt to match the units based on the unique identification

"All units" tab

In this tab, you get a simple overview of all your units. You immediately get an up-to-date view of the location and certification status of your equipment. By conveniently filtering and sorting, you can make adjustments where necessary. In the future, we also plan to add a "status" feature that will quickly show maintenance or defects.

Working with units

Once your machines are uploaded at the unit level, the exact units can be linked when creating offers. Throughout the entire order process, you can update the units so that last-minute changes can also be implemented.

You will have easy visibility of the location and certification status of your units throughout the entire rental transaction. Renters will also have access to this information from the start until the end of the rental period.

By working at the unit level, availabilities are much more accurate, and you can deduce from the Bullswap platform when a device is not available for a new request.

Why add units?

  1. All machine information in one place: You don’t need to look in external systems to find the location or the latest inspection certificate for your equipment.
  2. Reduce customer inquiries: Customers often ask questions like "Where was my device delivered?" or "I need an inspection certificate," allowing you to focus on more important matters.
  3. Higher ratings: Customers appreciate that they do not need to call, as they can immediately find the correct information on Bullswap. This often leads to higher ratings and more orders.
  4. More accurate availability: When a unit has already been booked, this is immediately visible for new requests for the same period.
  5. Easier scheduling of inspections: With the new "All Units" tab, you can immediately see which devices are due for a new inspection.
